YOU ARE JOEY!!!!! MY baby!! I love you so much ......Joey wants you to see his birds.... He accompanies me when I bring in the feeder and has to smell each peg and then goes out with me to hang the feeder. He knows the difference between crows, doves,hummers, and these birds. He wont chase them he intently watches them. I think he is more interested in lizards!

They fledged the next day after I took these pictures, here you can see they were older but still had a little bit of down on his head.

And THEN they grow up to look like this!!!!!
I have seen the orange ones around but a yellow one showed up today!!! If you know what kind of birds these are and what the colors mean I would love if you could tell me!!!! I think they are finches?

As for your feathered friends, as I've admitted on my blog, I'm not very good at knowing the names of things and find a great deal of pleasure in making up my own names or letting their magic be simply what it is.
But, I will confess, I thought they were finches too, although out here in the wilds of Colorado I've never seen them so brightly colored.
