WWF Smackdown!

Oh before we get to the wrestling match, I had bloodwork done on Kealani because she is about 10lbs overweight. Ive had her on a reduced calorie diet for about 3 weeks now and theres been no change. So the vet did a blood test and the results are .................normal!!!! She is on Natural Balance reduced calorie food. Joey has trimmed down but not Kealani! Any suggestions would be appreciated!!! Thanks!!! And Now in this corner!!!!!!!!!! (scroll down)

So furry khute!

As fur the weight thing, might be time fur some green beans -

low/no sodium canned green beans - a khup of them fur every khup of kibble -

it works fur some of my fluffier pals!

Woof! Woof! Great smackdown match. In regards to being overweight ... I've been there. It was so hard to loose the 10 pounds. I just lost 5 pounds - both mom and vet are happy. Basically, outdoor activities helps - about 4-6 miles of run or walk. My mom limits my TREATS n she prefers homemade treats such as fruits or vegetables. Sweet Potato helps to curb my appetite provides me satisfaction. Also, since Jan I'm in 2 cups/day Orijen Senior food which helps a lot. Loosing the last few pounds is always a challenge. Lots of Golden Luck! Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

Love the movie so much! You are both such wonderful balls of fluff, playing with that inside-out squeaky (?) - is that what it was? About two years ago, I had to lose 18 pounds - did it by cutting back to 3/4 c kibble am and pm and added just a wee bit defrosted (frozen) peas and carrots to the mix for bulk. It worked, but Mom didn't give me hardly any treats except for obedience, and on those days, cut back on kibble still more. But she's at 60 pounds and has stayed there ever since! But soooo glad the blood's good! (Guys always lose weight quicker than girls - booooooooooo!

love the video!! had to turn down the volume as not to get my dogs going!
good advise on diets....i feed my female Tahoe 2 cups a day, she is very active...treats too, but some dogs love carrots, canned pumpkin is something i've heard of adding to their food as well...
it is always harder for us gals to loose weight....arg!
beautiful goldens!

Love the video! Sam has a very slow metabolism - we've cut back his treats, and the volume of food he gets each day. We've replaced a lot of his treats with dehydrated vegetables, and he seems to love those.

Your video made me smile in recognition! I just LOVE it when they play like that!
As for the weight...I had to reduce Max at one stage. I measured out the formula really carefully (with a digital scale)- having prepared packets for an entire week - putting each meal into a plastic bag - so that I wouldn't make a mistake. Then over the weeks that followed, I monitored his weight...if he wasn't reducing, I'd adjust the packet amounts.
Its a really slow process, but I think the females struggle harder and are more adept at 'stealing food' that we don't know about.
Sending lotsaluv to you all
