I am so proud of Joey. He entered the competition for Dock Dogs here in Del Mar Ca. He came in 3rd place in the novice catagory! Way to go Boo Bear!!!!

Whoop Whoop! What a fantastic day!!! It was their first time at this beach and they simply lost their minds! Kealani would run up to a wave and as its crashing she would run away like a little kid! It was the cutest! And they would dive for rocks and chase balls like crazy!

Their favorite thing is to be dirty! After a trip to the dog park I filled their pool and left them for 1 minute! This is what I came back to!

Another thing we will miss is lizard hunting. All I have to say to Joey is wanna go get lizards?? And he knows EXACTLY what Im saying! He gets all excited and look how he is staring this one down and he is drooling!!!

MY RED TAIL HAWK!

Can you believe, my last day here, I finally caught a picture of my red tail hawk! I almost feel as though he could be my animal totem....*****sigh**** He is so beautiful! Actually I saw him and his mate circling flying together. And the other morning when I didnt have my camera I saw them bringing string to make their nest. I will miss you guys as well as all the creatures we have come to know! Who knows what lies ahead for us? A new beginning! How exciting!!!

Red Tailed Hawk

Isnt he magnificent? I tell you, I will miss living here ( I am moving Sunday).Our "Secret Grove" has so many hidden treasures and it makes me feel so alive! I am moving my pack further south. Actually right by Auntie Sue and Joeys brother Kona. It will be nice to have a house with a backyard instead of my townhome and its going to be awesome being closer to friends and family. I cant take credit for this photograph, but I did see Mr. Hawk this morning without my camera :(. But I had to show you what I was seeing on occasion and it just takes my breath away!

One Year Ago.......

I cant believe its been a year! A whole year!! The first picture is of the day I first met Joey. Oh my goodness, I was scared and nervous. Would I be a good mommy? Would I be able to handle the responsibility? Is he going to chew everything? What if he pees in the house??????? Augh!!! But this little creature wormed his way into my soul of souls. I couldnt stop thinking about him!!! I felt as though he did need me! So I took the plunge!!!!! Yahhhhhhh!!!!
And, to my astonishment, he was a jewel. He was so dang cute. Got the housebreaking thing within a couple days. And has been the greatest companion in my life! Wow how my life has changed! He has brought me so much love and joy and purpose to life!!! He is so easy to take care of and gives me so much back! I am indeed lucky!!! The next picture is the first picture I had taken of him when I brought him home. Oh what an angel so sweet and innocent laying by a tennis shoe! If you could see that shoe now after taking Joey on at least 3 walks a day!!! Hiking in the canyons and to our "Secret Grove". All around the lakes and trails of San Diego! Oh Im so thankful for Joey, My everything. Its been one year! Wow! I cant believe it. The bonus is he has brought me to all of you! You are such awesome friends and I know you are just like me and love your Golden as much as I love Joey! Give your Goldens some hugs and kisses from us, wont you? (Hugs and kisses apply to non Goldens too!!!)
